The Text List
Creating a New Snippet: To create a new Snippet, tap the Text Saving button, which will save all of the text you’re currently typing. You can also create a Snippet by tapping the Save from Clipboard button, and any text you have currently copied will be saved as a Snippet (Note: Saving from Clipboard requires Full Access).
Inserting a Snippet: Simply tap the Snippet you wish to enter, and it will be entered into the current text typing field.
I entered a Snippet by mistake! Don’t worry, simply tap Undo, and the Snippet you just entered will be removed.
Editing Your Snippets: To edit an existing Snippet, tap-hold the Snippet, or tap the disclosure arrow to the right of the Snippet you wish to edit. This will bring up the Snippet Editor, and you can make your changes, just don’t forget to tap Save when you’re done.
Deleting a Snippet: If you no longer wish to use one of your Snippets, or if you have created one by mistake, simply swipe left on the Snippet, and a Delete button will appear.
The Save Text Button: The T+ button will save all the text in the current field as a Snippet. The current field is whatever field you are typing in. For example, if you are typing an email to a friend, tapping the T+ button before you send will save the entire body text of the email as a Snippet.
The Save from Clipboard Button: The Save from Clipboard button (which looks like a clipboard with a +) will save currently copied text as a Snippet. For example, if you want to save a paragraph you’re reading on a webpage as a Snippet, you can select the text, copy it, and then tap the Save from Clipboard button to save that text as a Snippet.
Note: Saving from Clipboard requires Full Access.
What are Favorites? Favorites are custom phrases and/or words that you use regularly in conversations. They are displayed as buttons for easy access, and can be moved around to build custom keyboards.
Creating a Favorite: You can create new Favorites by tapping the + button in the lower left corner of the Favorites Tab. You can also save existing Snippets as Favorites by tapping the star button in the Snippet’s Editor.
Note: When creating a new Favorite, any text that you type in the Title Field is copied to the Body Text field. This is meant to save you time, but you can always change the body text to whatever you like – it does not have to be the same as the Title.
Rearranging Favorites Buttons: To move Favorites buttons around, tap the Edit button in the lower corner of the Favorites Tab, then tap-hold on the button you wish to move and drag it around. You can move the button to a new page, or you can simply reorder how they appear on their current page.
Editing a Favorite: To change the button title or text of a Favorite, tap-hold on the Favorite’s button; the Editor will open and you can make your changes, just don’t forget to tap Save when you’re done.
Deleting a Favorite: To delete a Favorite, tap the Edit button in the lower right corner of the Favorites Tab, then tap the Favorite(s) you wish to delete (they will turn red), then tap Delete.
THE Links LIST
How Do I Add Links? Links are added to the Links List automatically when you save text. For example, if you save a large Note that contains multiple links, Superboard will recognize them and store them separately for you in the Links List. Or, if you save a link from Safari as a Snippet, it will also be added to the Links List.
THE Snippet and Favorites Editor
What is the Editor? Super board’s Snippet/Favorite Editor allows you to tweak, view, and create Snippets and Favorites without leaving the keyboard, ensuring that Superboard works without requiring Full Access.
How do I bring up the Editor for Snippets? To edit Snippets, tap-hold on the Snippet, or tap the disclosure arrow to the right of the Snippet, and the Editor will appear.
How do I bring up the Editor for Favorites? To edit Favorites, tap-hold the Favorite button you wish to edit, and the Editor will appear.
Why can’t I see the whole Snippet in the Editor? The Editor can display up to 2000 characters of a Snippet. If you have a particularly large Snippet, you won’t be able to view all of it at once.
What else can I do with the Editor? While editing a Snippet, you can save the Snippet as a Favorite button by tapping the star in the upper right corner of the Snippet’s Editor. This will save a copy of the Snippet as a Favorite button.
What is Full Access?
Does Superboard require Full Access?
THE Undo Button
What is the Undo button? The Undo button allows you to remove any Snippets or Favorites that you enter by mistake with a single tap, rather than deleting it manually with the backspace key. If you enter a Snippet by accident, simply tap Undo, and the text you entered will disappear.
How many times can I tap Undo? The Undo button can undo up to 8 actions, including typed characters.
THE Resize Button
What is the Resize button? The resize button (located in the upper right corner of Superboard) allows you to make Superboard smaller if it’s getting in the way. Simply tap it to change sizes.
Hiding the Keyboard: Tap-hold the Resize button to hide Superboard from view.
